A graduate in Mathematics and Physics from the University of
Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Phil has followed a career of technical excellence in computer systems across a range of major international companies both in the UK and abroad. He has a broad
understanding of real time computing and computer systems and was the Software Manager for the implementation of a large number of state-of-the-art systems both in the UK and abroad.
As Systems Engineering Manager for Siemens ATM, Phil was
responsible for the technical thrust on all aspects of systems design and implementation for the company. Under his leadership, new systems were conceived using open systems technology
which formed the basis for the winning of a number of strategic multi-national contracts that served to establish Siemens as a major player in the ATM field. Phil played a key role in the
negotiation phases of these contracts and was the key player in selling the technical merits of the new technologies.
